According to S.A.V.E (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education) Lesbian, gay and bisexual kids are 3x more likely than straight kids to attempt suicide at some point in their lives.

Every time someone apart of the LGBTQ community is a victim of physical or verbal abuse, they become 2.5x more likely to hurt themselves.

One crucial reason why, is the fact that the conversation within the household doesn’t contain an all inclusive, diverse and open minded dialogue. It is extremely important to educate our children on the importance of diversity and inclusion. Just because someone is different than you doesn’t mean they are wrong and you are right. You’re just different and that’s okay.
