From Mind Gravy:

Laurence “Luckyman” Beall: Most Exalted Potentate of the One Man Blues

Claire DeLune’s Blues Moon Radio show picked Lucky’s “Huntsville Sessions” as the number 1 pick of 2011. HIs new CD ; “Jus’ Lucky” just came out and is even more fun. Witness the only version of the blues as done by Laurence “Luckyman” Beall. Always guarantees his cds with a money back guarantee and not one single return! He’s toured in Europe, shared the stage with cats like Buddy Guy, Tex Rubinowitz, Danny Gatton etc. Plays blues festival all across South Carolina.
Tells stories about “Sombreros of Doom”, Bulldogs, Heartbreaking women, Hoecakes and who knows what else. Has his own version of the truth and lives up to it almost everyday. He appears in the brand new “South Carolina Blues” book pressed by Arcadia Publishing and written by Claire DeLune. Started traveling’ when he was 15 and hopes he has stopped. Been married 5 or 10 times. Worked 200 different jobs. Never found one he liked. Tragic. Did time, didn’t like that either. His name is “The Luckyman” because he has good luck almost always. Watch out for him especially whens he’s driving as he can’t see very well. He does a great live show that is always different but always stellar unless he is drunk or hates the joint. Especially TV joints. Lucky hates TV joints. TV joints are even worse then “blue hair restaurant joints”. Has not become a poet out of respect for poetry. Plays in tune mostly. Very festive, not to be denied. Related to Zippy the Pinhead in a tawdry family lineage never discussed in public.
