Experience Three:
In the Eye of the Beer Holder: Beer lovers will collect their own empty cans of different beers that are special to them and I will use them to create an “eye”. Cans will be shaped around a treated wood blank using different color cans for different elements of the eye such as pupil, iris, lids, and lashes. Final sculpture will be a hanging piece suitable for outdoor locations and be approximately two feet tall and three feet wide.

The majority of my work is found object sculptures with a particular leaning toward pieces to be displayed in garden spaces. I use metal, wood, and stone to produce abstract works that have their own presence, but also complement their outdoor environments. Gardening is under my nails and I have worked in the industry in various positions almost all my life. These experiences shape my artwork and feed my enjoyment of integrating sculpture into landscape.
