A to Zed presents: A Village and Then Some ~ African Fest & Storytelling

Columbia, SC. A to Zed will be presenting the third annual cultural event, “A Village & Then Some”, at Tapp’s Arts Center from 5:50-9:00 pm EST on Saturday, March 10, 2018. The program is presented in English and designed for families, couples, and singles. The event is in collaboration with and located at Tapp’s Arts Center, 1644 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
Tickets are $15 in advance until March 7 – PRESALES DONE!

Attendees will sample dishes from Zambia, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Senegal. They will be captivated through the oral traditions of storytelling that mentally knits the common thread of experience of people from African lands. Those who choose to participate are encouraged to relax and allow their bodies to get lost in the rhythms of cultural dance presentations with the traditional sounds of the African villages. Cultural and African attire is welcomed.
A to Zed, short for America to Zambia, is a non-profit 501(c)3 foundation dedicated to enriching the lives of children in Africa. The foundation accomplishes the mission by providing the children in private schools, orphanages and village schools (also referred to as community schools), other locations with the tools, exposure and empowerment needed to become inspired and educated. Volunteering professionals who accompany A to Zed to Zambia impact the survival and growth of the children.
Donations to A to Zed are welcome and the event is open to the public.
